This collection consists of three unrelated volumes: a tax collection account book of Silas Crane; a six-page fragment of a daybook of an unknown farmer; and an account book of an unknown general store. The tax collection accounts document the amount of money Crane turned over to the government, his commissions, figures for the collection of import and shipping duties, and allocations for maintenance of a marine hospital.
